Good to know
- Icons are square. A picture that is not square is fitted inside the square with transparent padding, not cropped.
- For a sharp result start from a square image of at least 256×256 pixels.

A BMP file stores images with little to no compression, which means large file sizes but one of the simplest possible formats to read. It's an older Windows format you'll mostly encounter in legacy software or basic screenshot tools.
