- File dates and Unix permissions are kept, so a script that was executable stays executable
- A standard ZIP that opens on Windows, macOS and Linux without extra software
- Files are compressed with Deflate, so the ZIP is smaller than the files inside
Good to know
- Links (shortcuts) and special files inside the archive are left out. Only real files and folders are converted.
- Archives up to 300 MB are accepted. An archive that unpacks to more than 500 MB or 20,000 files is refused.
