What happens to your data

- The first row is used as the header and empty lines are skipped
- Quoted cells that contain tabs, quotes or line breaks are read correctly
- A valid XML file: <root> with one <row> per record, and special characters like & and < escaped
- Empty cells become empty tags, so every row has the same fields
Good to know
- Values arrive as text and become numbers only where that is unambiguous and the target can hold numbers.
- The tags are always <root> and <row>, and field names are made valid (spaces and symbols become underscores). Rename them in a text editor if your system expects other names.
- All values are written as text, because XML has no number type.

TSV vs XML
TSV
A TSV (Tab-Separated Values) file is just like CSV, but it uses tabs instead of commas to separate columns. It's handy when the data itself contains commas — like addresses or descriptions — since tabs won't get confused with the content.
