Kept

  • Every page is drawn as an image exactly like it looks in the original, with fonts, graphics and pictures
  • The XPS is rendered to a PDF first, so fonts and vector graphics are drawn correctly
  • One page gives a single image. Several pages give a ZIP with page-1, page-2 and so on
  • PNG images on a white background, lossless, with a longest side of 2000 pixels per page

Good to know

  • Up to 100 pages at a time. A longer document is refused with a message that says how many pages it has.
  • Text in an image cannot be selected or searched.
  • An XPS whose text has been turned into outlines (some print-to-XPS drivers do this) has no text to take, and is refused with a message that says so. Converting it to PDF keeps the pages.
  • PNG files of full pages are large. Choose JPG if file size matters more than sharp small text.
  • Files up to 300 MB are accepted.
