Good to know

MP3 supports 48 kHz at most, so a 96 kHz file is reduced to 48 kHz, and surround sound (5.1) is mixed down to stereo.
Embedded cover art is not carried over. Only the sound is converted.
Both formats compress with quality loss, so every conversion costs a little quality. Keep your OPUS original.
