- Constant and variable bitrate MP3 files of any length are supported
- Saved as FLAC, which keeps the audio exactly as decoded, in a file usually about half the size of WAV
- Sample rate, channels and 24-bit depth are kept
- Title, artist and album tags are carried over
Good to know
- Embedded cover art is not carried over. Only the sound is converted.
- The source is already compressed with quality loss. FLAC keeps it exactly as it is, it does not bring back what was lost, and the file gets much bigger.
