What happens to your data

Kept

  • Vorbis files (and Opus inside .ogg) are supported
  • Saved as a raw AAC (ADTS) stream at 192 kbps

Good to know

  • A raw .aac file has no room for title, artist or album tags. Choose M4A if you want the tags kept.
  • Some players show a slightly wrong length for raw AAC files and cannot jump around in them as smoothly as in M4A.
  • Embedded cover art is not carried over. Only the sound is converted.
  • Both formats compress with quality loss, so every conversion costs a little quality. Keep your OGG original.
