• The main video and one audio track of the VOB file you upload are used
• A looping animation at 12 frames per second, 480 pixels wide, with a color palette made specially for your clip so it does not look banded
• Videos smaller than 480 pixels wide are not scaled up

Good to know

• DVD menus, chapters and subtitles are not converted.
• A DVD is split into several VOB files (VTS_01_1.VOB, VTS_01_2.VOB and so on). Each file converts on its own, so join them first if you want one video.
• Copy-protected commercial DVDs cannot be read.
• Only the first 20 seconds are converted.
• GIF has no sound, and 256 colors per frame, so photos look grainier than the video. A 20-second clip can reach several MB.
• HDR video is converted to normal colors first, so the animation does not look washed out.
• Files up to 150 MB are accepted. Long or very high-resolution videos can take several minutes, and a conversion that runs past about 4 minutes is stopped with a message.
