  • JPEG XL images are decoded to standard 8-bit sRGB color
  • One PDF page that is exactly the size of the picture (not A4), with the image filling it
  • The image is embedded without extra compression, so nothing is lost

Good to know

  • Wide-gamut and HDR colors are reduced to standard 8-bit sRGB, so very vivid or bright tones can look slightly flatter.
  • The PDF contains only the picture. Text in the image is not recognized, so it cannot be selected or searched (there is no OCR).
  • One image becomes one page. To combine several images in one PDF, use the PDF tools of your viewer after converting.
